Each autumn the borough celebrates its varied and exciting arts scene by hosting Molten, a community-driven festival that is coordinated by London Borough of Barking and Dagenham with local artists, schools and residents.

An exciting and educational festival of arts activities for the whole community, it draws together and illustrates local talent in dance, drama, music, literature, visual arts and crafts, film and more. It aims to provide a positive platform to celebrate and promote local achievements.

Each year's programme incorporates a town celebration launch, workshops, showcases, exhibitions and events. Molten is inspired by the people who live, work, learn and play in the borough.
