Maria and Ekaterina Yaschuk are two sisters with diverse backgrounds in visual and fine arts - from theatre and the creation of narrative environments to surface and textile design. Their backgrounds and also their individual experience have contributed to the originality and inimitability of their pieces. They have collaborated professionally since moving together to London in 2001, developing their approach of dynamic designing.

The mixing of seemingly incompatible facets, the use of materials not normally integrated design of this nature, the juxtaposition and blending of patterns and elements all aim to create a visual environment which the observer has to participate in so as to create personal perspectives and impressions by mixing and matching, something which is key to MEYSTYLE’s approach.

The unique and unprecedented use of LED lights and crystals integrated in their pieces compliment each other to create singular and personal atmospheres, a fundamental factor in the transformation of wallpaper into works of art.
